Snow

IMG_8080

The snow has all gone now, but before it disappeared I managed to get a few more photos, once again a churchyard, but this time it was the Parish Church in the middle of town. The Garden of Rest as it is known as, is a beautiful open area behind the Church, which has a path leading onto the High Street. It is used by lots of people and some of you may remember the squirrels from previous blogs, who live there and who are fed by local people.

I have to say I don’t think I have ever seen this area look quite so pretty, walking through and taking photos was just so relaxing.

The snow on the trees looked lovely.

Even when it is snowing the dogs need their daily walk Smile

So serene, I love to see snow transform just about anything Smile

The yellow flowers really stood out against the snow

  1. Hi Poppy, it looks wonderful when you just get a bit of snow like you have, but when you 3 or more feet of it hanging around for 6 months then it is not so nice to have around. I think we've had about 4 feet of snow so far and could have that much to come in the next 3 months. Your photos look great.

  5. Hi Poppy, I'm back, hee, hee, love your photos you really captured the mood of winter, though I make no apologies in saying I will be glad to see the back of it. Did you smell the yellow flowers, beeee-you-tiful Witch hazel or called Wintersweet sometimes. I hope the resident of the grave saw the funny side of your handiwork LOL

    1. Lovely to see you Arlene, I hope you are feeling a bit better now! I didn't smell the flowers but I will next time I am down there :) I didn't make the ghost on the tombstone but had to take a photo of it - it made me laugh when I saw it :) Love to you and Ruby xx

  6. I've just missed all the snow here because I was at sea :( Never mind, looks like spring might be arriving at last. I thought that maybe you were responsible for the smiley grave too but I see you reply for Arlene. You should have cheered up some of the other stones :) :)
