Last month I spent an interesting hour or so taking photos of the moon, here you can see the results. They are not fantastic quality but I am very pleased with the photos I did get. I have not photo-shopped any of the photos, I only ever play with the brightness and contrast and of course use the crop tool!
Interestingly it was supposed to be a ‘rose’ moon, seems that my camera picked up the pink on some of the photos.
Finally, can you see the bear in the bottom right hand corner in the photo below?
Happy weekend to you all
I loved these when I saw them on your camera. On your blog, they look even better :o)
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat :)
DeleteLovely Captures Val they always come across spooky. But we owe her so very much .. Thank you for sharing and well done.

Glad you like them Sheila :)
DeleteGoodness, these are beautiful! I've never taken pictures of the moon when it has clouds on front of it, but I'll have to try it now. The clouds in these shots are so cool! Thanks for sharing them!!
ReplyDeleteBeckie I have been trying to get a decent photo of the moon for some time, the clouds that night were spectacular, I am really pleased I got some good photos :)
DeleteYou have captured so many emotions of the moon. I have a series called many moons of photos, but without a good zoom I just can't capture it well like these photos of yours. I so love how the clouds have moved by. Happy Spring to you.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carrie, these were taken with the zoom on the camera, so I was very pleased with them :) Happy Spring to you too :)
DeleteJust beautiful Val, you've rally caught the other wordliness of la luna without being too techie about it. And yes I saw the bear. :-)I love looking for shapes and creatures in the clouds.
ReplyDeleteThanks Arlene, Alice and I spotted the bear straight away, interesting as we had been watching a programme about Polar Bears earlier that evening!
DeleteGreetings from sunny Warsaw. Have a look at my new photos.

I find your moon blog at a timely moment - 2 in the morning in the North Atlantic just before I had to pop out and attend to some of the knob twiddling that I get paid money for. I seemed to have picked the moment when there was a gap in the clouds and the moon was up there saying, "that was me in those photos". It looks good reflected in the sea (where it's just a big white smear rather than round) - not as full as your moon I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteYour job sounds so exciting Sandy.....lol Glad you liked the photos, I am sure you see some spectacular sunrises/sunsets when you are at work :D
