Christmas Tree Festival 2013

The words in the book read:

Twas the night before Christmas and all thru the house nothing was stirring because they were all down the pub..

Yule love it!!

The Annual Christmas Tree Festival in St. Peters Church in Sandwich was held at the beginning of December, as always it was a lovely display, and very hard to choose a winner in each category.

This one was beautiful, I love Rudolph Smile

Alice in Wonderland

I visited the display on the first day it was there, we had had our 40th Birthday party of the Library being in its present building in the morning, which was a very enjoyable event, preceded by lot of hard work by the Sandwich Library Guild and the Library staff, so this was a lovely peaceful contrast to the hustle and bustle of the morning.

The twelve days of Christmas

The ‘Partridge in a Pear Tree’ from the tree above.

As always a beautiful sight met me when I went into the Church, it is quite hard to know where to look and where to start taking the photos.

A very unusual and pretty tree, this one won its category Smile

Every tree on show had its own beauty, a lot of work had gone into each and every tree, and of course the setting is just perfect for such a display.

And finally, this could have been written just for me…..Open-mouthed smile

  1. I expect there's one of these in our local church - there has been on previous years. I should wander round and look.
Now that last statement looks like a good suggestion for fill the remaining hour between here and lunch time :)
