Beijing zoo – I nearly fell in the pond…..!!
I love doing this blog, it gives me the chance to look back over the year through my photos, it is surprising how many things get forgotten over the course of 12 months, places I have been to and things I have seen. 2011 has been a rollercoaster of a year for me, the ‘ups’ have been fantastic, and I am just going to ignore the ‘downs’!
I planned to do 2 photos for each month, but I have cheated on a couple of months…the photos here all mean something to me, they may not be the best photos and there are probably some you have already seen, but I hope you enjoy them anyway.
January
Not a good month at all, but I was surprised to find that I had taken this in January.
February
Iris blooming in February.
A touch of colour in February.
March
Sign of spring.
The little garden next to the church was open, this blackbird was happy to share my lunch
April – how could I possibly pick only 2 photos???
Beihai Park
My favourite photo of the holiday
The Great Wall just had to be included
Just because….
Terracotta Chariot and those wonderful horses.
May
Wisteria – so beautiful
How could anyone resist this face?

Bushey Ruff (Russell Gardens) Dover, so peaceful walking by the water.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic collection of photos Poppy, it makes me want to ditch my Fuji fine pix and go out and buy a stonking great Mamiya or Canon SLR wioth all the bells and whistles, :-), but do you know what, I probably still wouldn't be able to take great shots like yours. Loved that white dove, and the leaf on the ground, looks like Robinia, is like Marylin's Monroe's smile Look forward to see what next year brings. Hoep it's a Healthy happy one regardless.
ReplyDeleteBed calls g'night and thanks for dropping my mine Arlene X
You have the most beautiful site Poppy, and your photos are stunning! I have made a NY Resolution to visit Blogger and blog in it on a slightly more regular basis than to date...lol...remains to be seen how well that works with Wordpress a full time job! However your amazing site has certainly given my resolution a boost! Thanks for your lovely comment on mine, more than I deserve with the lack of attention I have paid to Blogger this past year ;) I hope you had an awesome christmas and a fantastic New year...see you soon!! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, what wonderful travels. It looks like you had a wonderful year! Hope 2012 is great!!
